Why not let the website design lead the logo design and see what it evolves into?
Got a good longterm law firm client that i've designed their current and past site. Their current site is VERY different to the norm of law sites. For the site we steered clear of stock shots and got them to commission photos and they were treated with a house style - giving even their images an identity.
They loved the styling of the website so much that within 6 months they had their identity looked at and all their print work was changed to match this new style.
Think of the bigger picture :)

- be something bold and different. They they tweaked logo to suit and did all the brochureware etc later23kon
