Here's a project that I've mulled over, and it has several interesting possibilities.
Using modulated high energy laser pulses (acting as a carrier) directed toward the nearest black hole/holes, lens the gravitational pull to bend light back toward Earth's predicted trajectory, acting as a long term data backup stream, on the order of eons. Transmit the most critical data, for potential future rebuilding of society, or simply historical archiving, provided that history doesn't repeat it's self.
The same effect can be achieved on a smaller scale using deep space probes, acting as transponders/relays, synched and constantly traveling in equal directions away from Earth, the loop will keep increasing the delay over time.
