Here's my two cents. I think your only job as a dj is to make people dance. I spun all through high school and college. Highschool I was playing a local under age night that was known for hard house. When I went to college...no one liked that shit. So I had to play a lot of 80's stuff, and took them by baby steps along a journey further into house, or stuff that I would actually like to play. Point being...at the end of the day, you just have to make people dance. Why so serious, its just a bunch of kids just wanting to dance, and they like drops. Relax, have fun, help them have fun...and making money off of it isn't too bad of a job. At the end of the day, spinning music is a service industry.
