On the 15th April, 12 people were killed by guns in the US:
http://www.slate.com/articles/ne…on the 16th, 14 people were killed. In fact in the week since the bombings, 100 people have been killed by guns in the US.
Make of that what you will. I just think it's interesting the amount of energy focused on terrorism (which given the numbers is not a massive threat internally) versus larger causes of murder
