I was having a great conv. about this stuff with my Dad on christmas day. I was trying to explain to him about OEM manufacturing and the false 'cloaking' of products, the signs used to convey quality etc.
Being old he felt nervous as a consumer but I explained how the majority of consumers are deluded vis-a-vis quality anyway. I didnt think I needed a degree in Industrial design to know that.
