I helped put on a conference last month where he was the keynote speaker. I hung out with him for a day and I will tell you they were the nicest, coolest, least pretentious people i have ever hung out with.
For the past couple years he has been focused on his "Happiness Project" which will culminate in a film he is releasing this year. The film was directed a co-produced by Hillman Curtis before he passed away. We got to see 10 min of the upcoming film and it looks fantastic.
You might not like all his work (though I like most of it), but the guy is the real deal.
I also know exactly how much he charged to come out and speak and it was much less than $10,000, though if he had charged that much it probably would have been worth it.
