Yeah, I was not sure about the recognition aspect.
It's a tough one, for me. I presonally like logos that are more 'interesting' than necessarily perfectly legible. That may or may not be a good thing.
The other option, would be to eliminate the STUDIOS and just have it as a semi abstract logo, with MBR Studios below it . hmmm...
Here's a logo I did for another company that my business partner and I have started - the visual relationship is intentional, although I'd welcom thoughts about that, too.

The AM logo was met with much enthusiasm, so I was hoping to aim towards that direction again, esp. considering that both AM and MBR are the same people, just for different things.
