I've been noticing the color of tv's too. It seems that product researchers are convinced we all want silver electronics. Look at the color of cellphones, digital cameras, camcorders, pda's, and Apple flagship computer the G5.
We're probably all going to look back at products of this time and say to ourselves what a tacky strategy it was for product makers to spray paint something silver and pretend to us that it's made of metal.
