I'm a pescatarian (don't eat meat, but still eat fish). I've been so for about a year and a half now. First off- fuck those meat substitutes. So gross tasting. I've been eating a lot of fruits/veggies. My pantry has a lot of jasmine rice/brown rice, whole wheat pasta, lentils, black beans, couscous, quinoa. Of course eggs are a staple in my diet. And a ton of spices. I make a lot of curries, bake pizzas, stir fry, etc. I'm fairly athletic so I supplement a little bit of whey protein every day.
I thought I'd start eating meat again but the one thing I've noticed is I eat so much healthier. And my favorite part is it's a lot cheaper to not eat meat. Not that I ate too a lot of fast food, but I never eat it now. Also, I've taken up cooking and fallen in love with it and not eating meat makes recipes and food preparation easier and quicker.

^my favorite recipe- easy to make and kills the random meat cravings I get from time to time. very filling, cheap, and impresses the pants off of the ladies. I'll make burger patties with this recipe and in addition I'll throw a thin patty on an egg sandwich, or scramble it into a burrito. It's been my go to meat substitute.- i'm gonna try that this weekend, thanks :)scarabin
