    It would require every game to have the same mechanics – your character jumps the same distance/height in every game, which means level design has to be standardized across every game, and no game can have special abilities (say triple jump) by default because that skill might ruin the experience of a level in another game.

    And what's the incentive for studios/developers to make games within the narrow limits of this console?
