    Just heard from mechanic, he's 99% sure that my SAAB is toast. The timing chain has possibly slipped causing the pistons to bend. Am I saying that right? I don't know shit about cars, but I do know that this sucks. Hoping for a call back from mechanic that says "Just busting balls, your car is fine", but not bloody likely.

    • <yup, had a jasper rebuild put into my truck last year since it blew in the mojave desert on a trip from MX to SFmoldero
    • shit wasnt cheap though, but jasper rebuilds have better specs than new motors out of the dealershipmoldero
    • i think i paid 4k just for the motor, i could have just gotten a used motor for 1500, but needed reliabilitymoldero
