    They use to do workshops etc at Sam Maloof's in Rancho Cucamonga California. I don't know if you are familiar with Sam Maloof but his work is incredible. He is such an inspiration and worked in such an organic way. He built his house and had an attached wood working shop. He passed away a few years back at the age of (I think) 93.
    I don't know if they still offer classes but if they do, it something you should look into. If they don't you should go to his house which is now open for tours, you will be inspired beyond belief. Also, there are a number of documentaries about his woodworking that you must see.
