My cat, Jack, passed away tonight. Came home from work and he was just sitting very weirdly, not moving, not meowing, not begging for food. I picked him up and he was so limp, I knew tonight would be his last. My wife and I got a nice soft blanket and placed him on it, then we sat with him and talked to him and tried to comfort him. But then came the panting, the seizing of his body, his gasping, our crying and finally his passing. I never had anything die in my arms before, but tonight I felt Jack's last heartbeat - it was powerful.
I adopted Jack about three years ago when we bought our house, and he's been an amazing little cat. He sort of came with the house from the previous owner. Pour some out for my little homeboy tonight.- :(inteliboy
