"Lost was truthfully great for first 3 seasons"
I disagree with that. I'll let you in on a massive insider secret I've carried undeclared since the beginning of Lost. I was prevented from discussing this before, but now, I can....
Lost was truly intriguing for the first two seasons, and was put together so well, with such big screen nouce and polish that it PROMISED it was truly great. It a really good job of saying "This is great, stick with it, its great".
But it wasn't great, was it. They were entirely liberated from the need to make any of it work, so the first two seasons could be devoted to building something really intriguing, with absolutely no concern being given for the fact that it has to make sense, has to deliver, has to match its beginning with a suitable end.
To say the first three seasons were truly great is being incredibly generous. So, that secret I alluded to at the beginning of my email? Its this: I missed the first episode of Lost, and had to watch it on the internet. That's it, the big secret. Just that. I watched it on the internet. Got you to read my post though, didn't it. It was truthfully great for the first few lines, right? Never mind that it was a TOTAL FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT when you arrived here though. IT STARTED OUT GOOD. SO IT WAS GOOD. YEAH?
