Use two elements, maybe three, and go from there. I would lose the gradients, lose the outer shapes, and get rid of the map (it is wrong). IMHO - focus on the typography, use 1-2 colors, use better illustrative pieces, and also use less illustrative pieces. Please try to avoid delivering an over-processed logo. This looks like a fishbowl full of non-design execs had some say in it's creative process.
