Bob Dylan should be seen in the same light as Mark Twain or any great figure in American literature. His take on the blue, especially in the mid 60s mixed with surrealism woke an entire generation up to what songwriting could be. He was as influential as anyone in that era aside from the Beatles. His range of style is greater than anyone in the 20th century with the possible exception of Miles Davis and say what you will about his voice, his phrasing and delivery are great.

    • Uh except Twain was smart and funny while Dylan was a drug adled bullfighter.Llyod
    • If you knew more about Dylan that you indicate, you might change your mind. And drugs have inspired some of the greatest artwork in any field.CyBrainX
