When I was 12, my friend and I went hiking through his back yard near a creek at least 3 feet deep in overgrown vines. We were crossing above the creek on an old water pipe and had to crawl to avoid falling 20 ft; my friend made it across but about half way I felt my knee crunch into something. That something was a beehive, and within a few seconds they were swarming and stinging my face. I got up and ran the remaining distance and we frantically made our way to the toolshed near his house, the whole time bees chasing us. We got in and my friend slammed the door right before the last bee could catch us.
I was stung over 50 times across my face, neck, arms, legs and was so swollen I couldn't see out of my eye for days. I wasn't allergic before this, but now when I get stung I swell up bad. Needless to say, I don't really like bees that much anymore.
