It would not be a continuous sound. Just occasional bursts of sound. Yes, kind of like a prank. Loud whispering, conversations, random high pitch noises, split seconds of guitar feedback or that sound a guitar amp makes when you plug in the cable without muting it. Maybe the sound of a crying baby going up and down in volume. Or the sound of wind real loud like white noise. Days could go by with nothing played over the speaker. It would be hard to pinpoint the source because you'd have no idea when it was going to be audible, or what would be played.
