Fuckit, I just have more HDs than I really need, with redundant copies on each.
Backing up my work files on DVD's would be a monumental expenditure of time and effort, so frankly I can't be fucked.
Multiple redundancy is key, I think. Having an off-site ultimate backup is probably a good idea too - my equivalent is to keep financial and super-important or current working files (ie. things that would rape fuck me if I lost them0 on a website somewhere.
If you have serious megaGb requirements, you'll invest in a dedicated backup solution that uses either Tape or some specialised multi-disc array.
I doubt you're quite at that level though, given the myriad questions you ask here.
