Sounds like you're creating "spreads." In that case, it's best to create the document with "facing pages" where you can set your column and gutter widths, as well as the margins for "inside" and "outside." Once you've done that, the layout will be "mirrored." As for just "flipping" it, it's not that simple. It's best to just manually set it up.
