"More like pro machines are not very profitable."

I hope Apple uses their massive stockpile of billions of dollars to offset the relatively miniscule losses they might have on their Pro models. They don't release sales data on them for a reason. Even still, although many of us don't see the point in them keeping a tower model, I know a ton of people that rely on Apple workstations for their businesses to run. Editors, and well, much of the television/film industry requires machines like this, with quick HD swapping, RAID, upgradeable video cards and server capabilities (these took over when they discontinued the Xserve). All Apple "really" needs to do is upgrade the cpu/gpu and tack on cutting edge Thunderbolt and the Pro would be up-to-date. I definitely see them doing this, especially if they want them to outshine the iMacs.

    • I think they'll upgrade, just to HAVE that consumer-type not go over to PC.fyoucher1
    • Most folks who are on Macs, have all Mac shit.fyoucher1
    • That's a total generalization though. I could be totally off.fyoucher1
    • They're invested in Apple SOFTWARE too. FinalCut and the licenses they have for the Pros.monospaced
