I used to have a FastMac high capacity battery for my '07 MacBook Pro. Compared to the Apple battery, it rocked– double the battery life, less cash. I haven't used the NuTech ones, but I would guess that they're very similar (if not the same thing underneath the logos).

The one downside is that they are plastic, cheaper construction and so not as physically durable. In some cases they might not fit perfectly (feel a little mushy, not 100% flush to your laptop, whatever) but after a day or two you'll forget about it completely. The problem is just if you put it in storage without regulating temperature, humidity, etc... this happens to Apple battery packs too, and I've seen some mangled battery packs but you might as well know: it's obviously a replacement part, but if you want to keep the thing alive it can do a great job. Just be sure to get your money's worth (use it).

    • Brandless ones are PROBABLY the same (ones on ebay) but if the price diff is small, get it online retail in case you need warranty shit.ismith
