    To me 'antique' dates back beyond the fap-of-the-moment mid-century stuff - the obvious Eames examples date from the 50s (mid-century?!), antique doesn't quite fit all that.

    'Retro' has also merged with 'vintage' in my experience, but there are probably slight differences in/outside the US.

    With the current love for all things old, I think vintage has become the cool desirable stuff and style, whereas antique is left for the collectors and BBC roadshows.
