  we went to Kauai. A few days we stayed at the Hyatt Grand and pampered ourselves. It's awesome but very touristy and crowded.
  

  

  
  The next few days we stayed at Waimea Plantation Cottages. This was a completely different experience. Way more laid back chilled experience.
  

  

  
  Both were excellent but you'll need a car to explore if you stay at the cottages, the beach isn't that great there.
