I shop at JCPenney sometimes. To me, it's similar to walking into a Macy's-type store, which can make a middle-class person feel a notch above "normal American Joe". The entries are nicer... the place is clean and polished... they even sell suits, ties, dress shirts, Samsonite luggage, and custom drapery. The old JCPenney logo was similar to the Macy's logo as well, with the single primary color and thin type. Something about thin type really classes up a logo. But this new one now aligns itself with lower-end brands like Old Navy. I felt like a poor bloke when walking into an Old Navy that one time. It's like a discount rack place with awful lighting and clothes strewn all over the place. It felt really cheap.

    • Fiance works at a JCPenney outside of Tampa, perfectly fine stuff. If you're picky about essentials like towels, fuck...!?
