I was vegan for over a year recently, and lately I am 100% vegan at home, and then about 90% away from home. Unlike most vegans/vegetarians I will indulge in meat occasionally, I prefer it to dairy if I'm going to go for something.
There is so much misinformation out there. This book cleared up a lot of it for me. http://www.amazon.com/Eating-Aniā¦
I see it like this: We all would be way better off to eat a much larger amount of fruits and vegetables and grains and nuts and seeds. By default we would eat less meat/dairy if we did this. I think that's the point. More good stuff. Not to attack the bad stuff. Very scientific I know.
