    I don't even think its that people are less informed, if anything they are probably better informed than in the past because of the web and all the information that is out there.

    It's just that given the choice, most people prefer opinion based journalism rather than straightforward news. Its not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean there will be stronger opinions on either side.

    • depends on who's informing them and in what context. I agree though, it's human nature, sadly.
