Social login seems to taking off, or at least everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. There are saas providers built around it now. The reason companies want it is because it gives them access to all sorts of 'useful' information about their users that they wouldn't likely get otherwise.
So in other words - suck it up.
Also Spotify BLOWS! Use Rdio. Seriously. It's an entirely better service. You can have unlimited, commercial free music for a relatively cheap price. Cost goes up for access to mobil app - but balls to it.
