People who demand immediate responses are tyrants.
Don't you think that it's a bit egotistical to expect something of someone that you initiated contact with? And getting upset that they are socializing with friends instead of responding to you, doesn't that seem a bit stalkerish?
I get emails all the time, all day long, and often take a week to reply. The problem with a swift reply is that then the person will expect another and another, and then before you know you spend half your day writing emails. fuck that.
Unless it's pressing business that requires immediate attention, I absolutely take at least 3 days.
