Why NOT engage him in serious conversation? When i have, i usually get serious conversation in return. And not just in this iteration, but in previous ones as well. It's only when he gets flooded with the JazX stuff, or called a troll or an ass or whatever, that he returns the same behavior.
You, Dobs, have a habit of denigrating anyone who disagrees with you. i've seen you demean someone's character in response to something you don't support a page after the two of you agreed on something else. You're passionate about you beliefs and that's fine. So is JazX.
In a nutshell, i'm trying to encourage respectful discourse by engaging in respectful discourse. If he decides to ignore the fact that i'm trying to be respectful, i'll likely stop engaging him. But so far, while pointed in his initial assertions, he has been fine in the ensuing discussions.
