I've had positive experiences with two Canadian printers, both of whom deal with perfect binding.
Westcan Printing Group in Winnipeg. They focus more on magazines, comics, and posters, ie Fantagraphics.
Sundog in Calgary is great as well, focusing more on actual books. They have a lot of corporate clients, so big money pours in and they have a great staff and good equipment.
I lean more towards Sundog for quality, but Westcan is a big comic book printer.
