Janne: in the beggining very little. But it makes your life easier when you take into account that elements have to be like this because of structural beams passing inside, water & sewers having to go somewhere, sunlight as a decisive factor to to interior organization, security issues... Very basic stuff here, but the sooner it becomes an automated thing the better.
But one of the most interesting/complex things is the relation client-designer. It really shouldn't be a 1 way process. Unfortunately few clients are willing to learn something out of such endeavours...
