I have no doubt that there are things about the nature of reality that we don't understand.
But the idea of a God that cares about people and responds to individual peoples' prayers is, like BRNK said, pretty much a non starter. In fact the idea of Santa Claus flying around the world to deliver presents to everyone is more believable.
If there is a "God" or higher power of some kind chances are it doesn't bear any resemblance to, or care at all about humans...the same way humans don't care about bacteria.
