  Any hacks for the terminal to kill:
  launchpad - Just drag it out of the dock, you'll never see it again

  dashboard - Sys Prefs > Mission Control > Show Dashboard as a space

  zooming of opening windows and files - defaults write NSGlobalDomain NSAutomaticWindowAnimationsEnabl... -bool NO
  ^ You'll need to relaunch apps for this to work on them.
