Design has NOT had its day. Everyday is design's day.
I'm a little tired of this fatalist mentality "this and that is dead" - its a defeatist position that declares 1) you don't know what you're talking about 2) you're not very creative.Some of the most amazing things are happening with design right now in the digital space - design making a difference in effectiveness as well as bottom lines.
Yes, if you want to make minimalist, derivative bauhaus rip-off posters that are meant to convey some small portion of a movie - yes - it's been done before.
