Also people spend way way too much on computers these day. Becuase the xbox and ps3 have been out so long pc gaming is kinda held back due to the performance constraints of console gaming, obviously some pc games are pc only, which can far exceed console games performance wise, but it depends weather you want to play those games specifically.
Heres my spec which can play every game out on max settings quite happily -
amd phenom II x4 (quad core) 955
4 gig ram
msi cyclone gtx 460 768mbnow that graphics card is cheapo £80 but best bang for buck, the cpu is old, but still fucking epic does gaming and 3d rendering like a beast. Whole system was £310 including HDD power supply and case.
