It's probably too late to change anything unless you really have a serious discussion about her insecurities (don't word it like that, but try to understand why she has to go through everything you own). Not every woman or man is like this, but there's a large number of them out there.
I would have a "talk" with her about it. Lay everything down and stand firm in what you're visiting. Explanations aren't really needed, but you can if you want to. I would also look into her behaviour because she may be hiding something. If she really keeps hassling you even after this discussion about your boundaries, leave her. Sorry for the kid, but this type of paranoid behaviour can reach out into other parts of your life.
