Thanks for all the comments.
I'm lucky I work for a sports brand that lets me do whatever I need to do to stay on track health-wise. The pullup bar would be great, I've been doing the lat pulldown machine at the gym and swimming a ton for the past year or so. Seems to make quite a difference.
I've also been toying with preventative ideas like spinal decomression therapy. It's similar to the inversion board but a little more scientific in that they can actually isolate specific sections of the spine.
Ugh this stuff is so freaky. Avoid back injury like the plague. So many years of snowboarding, motorcyles, hockey, drunkness and all around tomfoolery (not to mention sitting at a desk all day) is coming back wholesale on my brother. Having done all the same stuff at an increased level of intensity, I'm hoping I can keep it all together...
Thanks for the advice and I'll post my results about the decompression after I go tonight.
Thanks again.
- you don't want to pull up on the pull bar so much as hang off it********
