interesting one. I had to go through this also. (not with another designer though)
one thing that is worth thinking about is is this partnership something you will grow into a business? or are you both just going to carry on being graphic designers? If you're just 2 designers that work together there isn't much need for a partnership, just a list of agreements you have between each other. who retains the rights to the work etc. you won't have assets or anything you can sell.however if you're going to turn it into a business then it's worth planing for the future before you start. i wish i'd read the e-myth a long time ago.
