Amsterdam - Art @ Museumplien... Van Gogh museum, Rijkesmuseum, and a few others.
Music... these are some clubs around leidseplein, which is right next to the museums (10 minute walk). Melkweg, Boubon st, ... personally I go to Cave, which is a heavy metal bar.Rent a bike in Amsterdam... sounds stupid, but it's much easier to get around the city. Jordaan is generally considered a cool art area. About a 5-10 min ride from central station. Could spend half a day walking there... them to museums, then to bars... all pretty close to each other.
