if you are anyway into museums etc check out the Chester Beatty Library in Dublin.
It's small and is only (mainly religious) books but I really like it - http://www.cbl.ie/
in terms of out west, a drive around the burren, doolin, ballyvaghan can be good depending in the weather
- The Natural History Museum is a MUST. It's a museum of Museums.Centigrade
- Hasn't changed since the victorian period. And it's free and right downtown.Centigrade
- But the Chester Beatty is amazing too.Centigrade
