OK, enough joking around. If you are serious about wanting to be a designer, learn about grids and typography. Yes, learn the programs but if you are just messing around in Illustrator and tracing stuff you draw you made you will not be a real graphic designer, just a guy who traces drawings.
Get the books "The Elements of Typographic Style" and "Grid Systems" and read them. Study how the grids of well-designed books and magazines are constructed and copy them until you learn to make your own. etc...
