Sometimes its good to take a break. Over the last 2 years I just wanted to do Graphic Design instead of Art or Creative Directing. Felt like a used car or insurance salesman. No heart. But the salary doesn't need to dip so far, just as long as there is transparency with the prospective employer with your intentions with their team.
Most places want someone that is overqualified, but never get it. Go for it if it is something that you really want to do.
