My impression was it was very boring...the city life anyway. You are at a high elevation and surrounded by mountains which is cool if you are into winter sports.
We tried to hit up some bars one night and there were a couple decent ones but the overall feel was more like a small town than a big city. Also visited Temple Square which is the Mormon world headquarters, lol...that is some crazy shit.
