i just got this email from a good friend of mine-- horrible :(
"My friend Rachel Conley was killed yesterday in new Zealand. Jackie and Rachel have been traveling with each other for the last six months. They were in Christ Church in the south island and they had just come out of a tattoo shop---the ground started to shake violently...jackie doesn’t know why but she ran out into the middle of the street and when she looked back she saw the building fall forward and collapse on Rachel. She dug through the rubble and found Rachel’s arm to pull her out but she was already dead. It was supposed to be her last day in new Zealand...I am having a hard time wrapping my head around this one. I just wept in my bed last night. Can’t remember the last time I cried like that.....pray hard for Jackie---she is in shock---Rachel was her best friend. Not sure if Rachel’s family even knows yet ----it doesn’t seem so from her facebook page. No one has been able to get in touch with them and none of us know them. Jackie will be on the next flight home."
