    Nokia is where it is at because of the leadership - they did not keep up with the markets. Any company that falls behind will either die or get taken over/bought.

    If Nokia was on top of things, then they would not be in this position.

    Peripherally, this looks good to me:

    Nokia - solid history, just got caught off guard, good quality

    MS - soso implementation and execution of many products, lacks any 'sex' appeal

    Seems like a pretty good matchup.
