    It's pretty much identical to the samsung galaxy S hardware wise. Except the galaxy s had a removable micro sd card (better).

    The benefit of the nexus s I've the galaxy s is that it has the latest android OS, and will recieved future updates more promptly than any other android device.

    If you cam afford it, the nexus s with it's latest OS and better support is probably a better choice. But I'd go for the samsung myself. The OS on it is decent and if you don't like you can put a custom OS on it (known as roms).

    Be warned the battery of both isn't mind blowing, most users say they need to charge or every evening. You can buy very cheap batteries for the galaxy s though, not sure about the nexus s.

    Also the nexus s has a NFC (near field communications) chip,
    which in theory, if stores have he correct technology, means you can use your phone to purchase goods. Will this take of soon? I'm doubtful.
