A Marantz amp in black
Bose acoustimass in black. All satellite speakers placed around the living room corners (sans rear and front center) at about a meters height. Which, when sitting in the sofa, is about right in your ear.
And an extra center speaker in black
...and a black ps3 I got as a present. The missus like to slay zombies.
Hooked up to a Sony Bravia screen.
Hooked up to that is a Acer Revo as an ubuntu box that stores all my movies and music. And that box in turn is on my local network. With screenshare I cue up movies to download, music to put on and such.
Boxee is free (and great) for all those media files, as is ubuntu.
And the app that lets you use your iphone as a remote control for it is free as well.
http://www.boxee.tv/makeChoosed that very flat amp because my av rack was just to short in height. 15 cm is all the space I have. And most decks (amp, dvds...) are usually 17 cm or higher. My old stuff just sits in the closet, deteriorating.
