From a job stand point you will find most work in the Toronto area. Montreal might be harder if you're not bilingual. Vancouver is probably behind Toronto for digital work.
Skiing snowboarding is hard to come by in Ontario. We have some ski hills, but they're nothing special. Head to BC for that; though, Quebec has some good skiing too.
Calgary is also an option with close access to the mountains. Web work will probably be a bit harder to come by than the above mentioned. But they're getting there from what I've seen.
Your wife will probably be able to find work easy being a nurse, she probably has to do some conversion exam, or course work to be qualified. But her nursing background will probably help you get into the country easier than just your qualifications.
