    Before you go on your next trip, go to Bestbuy and get the camera and lens you've really been wanting, then return it after your trip for a full refund.
    Proper camera shops have more stringent return policies (and actually care if there is a scratch or ding on the camera). Stores like Bestbuy and Futureshop are so big that they just don't give a f**k. Even the employees at those stores call them "rentals".
